We are very much looking forward to your child arriving at Rosendale on Monday. It will be very exciting to see them walking back in through the school gates. Obviously we need to have strict procedures for the start and end of each session which are outlined here.
In attending school during this time you are agreeing to the following:
- Parents will not be allowed on the school site including the office area.
- Only one adult will drop off and collect the child.
- If you have any questions you will need to call or email the office, not speak to the adult on the gate.
- If you are late for your allocated drop off time you will miss that morning/afternoon session.
- If you are late collecting your child they will not be able to attend the next session.
- No bikes or scooters will be allowed on site.
We are aware after such a long time, coming back to school may be unsettling for some children. If your child is upset at the gate we suggest you move to the back of your class line to give your child a few moments longer to get ready. If they continue to be upset, you will need to make the decision to either leave them with the staff member on the gate, or to take them home that day.
If you arrive early and the children and parents from another class are queuing, please wait a safe distance away, maybe on the other side of the road.
Year 1 will use the Rosendale Road gate, which is the entrance to the KS1 playground. They will not be able to access the school via any other entrance.
There are numbers 1-15 attached to the fence by your gate or along the path. When it is your arrival time, you and your child will stand by a number, filling up from number 1.
The gate will be opened at your arrival time and a member of staff will greet you.
Your child will enter the site. Parents will need to move on quickly after dropping off their child so the next person can move forward to the number 1 spot.
As each child enters they will sanitise their hands using a dispenser operated by the adult.
The children will line up with another adult ready to lead into class.
The gate will then be shut briefly and the next class will line up.
Year 1 will use the Rosendale road gate as in the morning..
There are numbers 1-15 attached to the fence by your gate. When it is your collection time, you will stand by a number, filling up from number 1.
The gate will be opened at your collection time and a member of staff will greet you and call your child from their line to the gate.
Parents and children will need to move quickly away from the gate to allow the next person to move forward to the number 1 spot.
The gate will then be shut briefly and the parents of the next class will line up.
Do feel free to walk past the site in the next few days so you can discuss the new procedures with your child.
