Portrait competition

Just a reminder of this fantastic competition! This notice went out before half term but if you would still like to enter why not spend some time this weekend whilst its raining outside creating a portrait of a special person in your life.

PORTRAIT COMPETITION 2020

Local shops are running their annual portrait competition. Portraits can be of a mother or a special person in a child’s life. There are no restrictions on medium other than portraits should be no smaller than A3 (2 x A4 stuck together would work if larger paper is not available) and should be bold, bright and beautiful as the winners and runners up will be displayed in a shop window. Portraits should be labelled with the child’s name, school, year and class. Please hand entries into the school office by Friday 28 February. (EXTENDED UNTIL MONDAY 2nd MARCH)

World book day

WORLD BOOK DAY & BRING AND BUY COSTUME SALE

The whole school will be celebrating World Book Day on Thursday 5 March. On World Book Day, all children are given a World Book Day book token, and children are invited to come into school dressed as their favourite book character.

In an attempt to recycle old costumes we will be holding a ‘bring and buy sale’ of dressing up costumes on Friday 28 February.  We are appealing for donations of outgrown clean costumes for all ages!  Please leave donations at the school office in the week commencing Monday 23 February. Thank you for your support.
